PETROLEUM GEOLOGY OF EGYPTIAN SEDIMENTARY BASINS

IMPLICATIONS FOR HYDROCABRON EXPLORATION

This report contains four volumes and designed for the working oil explorationist and has been prepared to give an orderly compilation of the important exploration information needed for a careful evaluation and informed decision as to the overall exploration potential and economic considerations of the Egyptian sedimentary basins.

Volume One: Gulf of Suez; Volume Two: North Sinai; Volume Three: Nile Delta and Volume Four: Western Desert.

SCOPE OF THE REPORT AND DATA CONTENT
The report is original research which contains a significant proportion of data and information for MEGE-based data and the author experience in the Egypt and other thorough regional experiences. These information and such data have been incorporated into the interpretation. Also a portion of the information and data used in developing this report will be acquired from published literatures. Every effort has been made to ensure that the data used in this report is as accurate as possible. We have developed original maps and ideas rather than presenting an edited account or description from other sources. New information on geochemistry and source rocks, structural interpretation and hydrocarbon habitat used to understand the factors which control the hydrocarbon generation, migration and accumulation and identify leads, prospects and plays. Also these volumes contains: (1) data on exploration well with TD, (2) summary on major oil fields, (3) well data sheets, (4) comprehensive bibliography relevant to petroleum exploration in the Egypt. All these accompanied by Tables, Figures, and cross-sections.

Table of contents of each volume:
